My husband, George Slaughter, wrote a pictorial history of the Spring Branch area in Houston. Spring Branch, published in 2011, remains a popular seller. To create the book, George culled photographs from a variety of sources, including private family collections. He enjoyed interviewing long-time Spring Branch residents who shared their stories. Today George signed books at Costco on North Gessner.
